That Christmas Feeling.

Welcome to my first post, I'd like to share happy bits and pieces of our life in Queensland following the seasons and events that shape our days. I want to mainly concentrate on the positive side of life, whilst I don't want to put my head in the sand and pretend that there is no war, famine, crime and abuse there are many blogs that deal with those tragedies and they do a far better job that I could in bringing certain issues to light, for me I want a little place of respite from the heavy side of life.
For so many people around the world December is a time to celebrate whether it's from a religious tradition or a time of getting together with loved ones. I want to bring a carefree feeling back into our family after a long and at times stressful past year. I want my two daughters, Alexandria and Chantal to be free from schol worry about projected marks, word counts and deadlines. So, I'm going to put my silly hat on for this month and overload the house with carols, candles and baking. All serious talk is being put on hold and we're going all out for fun!
How are you going to make your Christmas bright?
I hope your December and Christmas is all that you hope it to be.

Hi Vicki,

Just popped over from Rhonda's blog. After reading your comment about having to deal with disagreeable people, can I just say, don't let anyone get in the way of having a good life for yourself and your family. If someone writes a comment that isn't to your liking just delete it. Your first post is delightful and I wish you a really happy festive season. Looking forward to your next post.

Blessings Gail

hello Vicki

welcome, here you are. a very lovely post and full of wonderful aspirations. I agree with gail. thank you for your kind words. I myself have been thinking why am I doing this, am i being silly blogging. I thought i would connect more with people but it has been slow and then often think well its because my blog is so daggy. but really it is for my family first and foremost and it feels good documenting our lives and those little connections, like yours encourage one to continue. thank you.
have you had constant thoughts in your head about your next post. this often keeps me distracted from stressful everyday stuff.
looking forward to your future words.

Hello Vicki, a lovely first post!
Your Christmas plans sound lovely and positive and, best of all, will be creating beautiful memories for your children.
We keep our Christmas gatherings small, laid-back and therefore stress-free. There are no deadlines, we eat when it's ready, everyone pitches in. Our memories of Christmases past are happy and peaceful and I wish the same for you.

Hi Gail.
Thank you for visiting my blog, and many thanks for your kind words, they do mean a lot. And such perennial advice, it always seems so much more impactful coming from someone else! Have a lovely day,
Kindest,
Vicki
